April 28, 2009 - Sporicidin Disinfectant Solution is submitted for
testing against the swine flu virus this week. Results will be available
within 3 - 4 weeks.
Meanwhile, there are 2 points to note:
1. Good personal hygiene is the best protection against flu. Wash hands
frequently, avoid touching your face, stay away from public places if you're
not feeling well, avoid inhaling contaminated airborne droplets.
2. Sporicidin Disinfectant Solution has surfactants and is a great surface
cleaner and disinfectant. The Disinfectant Solution is effective against
Avian flu (H9N2), Influenza A2 (Japan 305/57 Asian strain), Cytomegalovirus,
Coronavirus, Canine parvovirus and other viral microorganisms. While we
believe that Sporicidin Disinfectant Solution is likely to be effective
against the H1N1 virus that causes swine flu, we cannot make that claim
until we have the data to prove that and the EPA's approval to add that to
The Disinfectant Solution is EPA registered disinfectant effective
against a wide range of bacteria, viruses and mold. The
product is approved for general disinfection in
institutional, commercial and residential environments. It is EPA listed as
flu and Avian Flu disinfectant. It is currently submitted for testing
against the swine flu.
